Description
Xvim is a Vietnamese Input Method server (XIM) for X-Window.
The project was started by DDo^~ Hoa`ng So+n.
The main purpose of this project is to support Vietnamese
editing on X-Window environment.
Since the 1.0 version, the name has been changed to Vxim to distinguishi from the X version of the famous editor, vim
Status
Xvim is not dead! It's still alive and has a new name "Vxim"
We're very proud to annouce the stable release is Vxim-1.0
Vxim-1.0 was totaly rewritten from scratch, based on XIM (IMDKit still) and key process module of xvnkb
Features
- Supported Vietnamese Input Methods : Telex, VIQR and VNI;
- Supported Vietnamese charsets: UTF-8 only;
- Other charsets are nologer supported. Please forget the "stone age" of 35+ charsets!
